Restorative Yoga is a delicious way to release and relax. It is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the long holds of this practice your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body. All postures are done on the floor and are held for longer durations with an emphasis on support and comfort. Relaxing breath techniques are added for total relaxation. The classes use bolsters, blankets, and blocks to prop students in the passive poses.
